Frydenbø Forward, distributor of ABC engines in Norway, Denmark, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, will supply the main engine for the new freeze-longliner being built for the Faroese shipping company P/F Regn at Stadyard in Måløy.
The Faroese shipping company P/F Regn, based in Toftir, has ordered a new and modern freeze-longliner to be built at the Norwegian shipyard Stadyard. The vessel is designed by Sirius Design & Integration and is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2028. The newbuild will be 50.3 metres long with a cargo capacity of approximately 650 tonnes, and will be equipped with the latest technology in fishing and catch handling — including a moonpool system for safer and more efficient equipment handling in all weather conditions.
As a key part of the machinery package, Frydenbø Forward will supply the main engine — an ABC 6DZC rated at 1,326 kW with Tier III certification. Are Davidsen at Frydenbø Forward negotiated the engine solution for this project.
